Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get Started?
Email Babble and Beyond at Lauren@babbleandbeyond.com to discuss your concerns and determine if your child might benefit from an evaluation and/or therapy services. You can also fill out the Contact Us form here.
My child gets school services, can we do private services too?
Many children benefit from additional one-on-one therapy in addition to the services they receive at school. We always welcome the opportunity to collaborate with other professionals on your child’s team.
Do you accept insurance?
Babble and Beyond is currently in-network with:
Anthem BCBS, Cigna, WellSense, Amerihealth Caritas, NH Healthy Families, and Ambetter.
We are an out-of-network provider for other insurance plans at this time. However, we will provide you with a superbill as a statement of your services. You can submit the superbill on your own behalf to your insurance company for out of network reimbursement. We recommend checking your out-of-network benefits with your insurance company. We can provide you with information on how to do this.
** If there are other plans you have questions about please let us know and we’ll see what we can do!
Do you require an evaluation to begin services?
We require an evaluation unless your child has had an evaluation in the past 6 months and the previous evaluation covered all areas of concern.
Where are services provided?
Babble and Beyond provides speech, language, and feeding therapy services in our private clinic located at 64 North Main Street, Suite 205, Concord, NH 03301. Group opportunities are also available at this location.
Teletherapy is available to children and families throughout NH.
What is your illness policy?
If your child or a family member in the home are sick, we politely ask that you reschedule your visit. Signs and symptoms of illness include but are not limited to: runny nose, coughing, vomiting, diarrhea, or shortness of breath. Once your household has been illness free for 24 hours, therapy can resume. We work with a variety of children and families, including those that are considered medically fragile. We appreciate your support in keeping everyone healthy!
What’s your cancellation policy?
We know kids get sick or scheduling conflicts come up and at times you have to cancel at the last minute. As per our cancellation policy, we politely ask for a 24-hour notice. If last-minute cancellations happen repeatedly, we will work with you to determine if another therapy time or teletherapy is a better fit. Cancellations made without at least 24-hour notice will be charged $50, or no-shows will be charged the private pay rate.
How do i know if my child needs speech or feeding therapy?
Whether you, your pediatrician, a teacher, or another important adult in your child’s life has recommended services, we always begin with an evaluation to determine if therapy is recommended. An evaluation allows us to compare your child’s skills in any given area to age-matched peers. The results of the evaluation will allow us to determine if your child is within the normal range for development in the areas of concern, as well as if therapy is recommended and how often.
Can caregivers be present during therapy?
Absolutely! In fact, it’s encouraged. The time we spend with your child each week is very small compared to the time you have with them. When you are able to participate and observe during sessions, you are more likely to learn strategies to carryover during the rest of the week.
